Shaughn O’Donoghue is the director of Sunshine Specialist Supports, a NDIA accredited specialist supports coordination and consultancy service operating on the Sunshine Coast.
Shaughn is also co-director of Support Coordination Software and Senior Trainer with the Support Coordination Academy.
Shaughn has thirty years’ experience working in the disability and human services sector as a small business owner through to Regional Manager for Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services and onsite Community Recovery Trainer. Shaughn has assisted his department to achieve greater efficiency and solve organisational problems by analysing the organisational structures, methods, systems and procedures and implementing simple but effective solutions.
His strategic and operational roles within these departments has given Shaughn a thorough understanding of the NDIA marketplace in the North Coast Region. Shaughn appreciates the specific challenges that face this unique community, with its high growth and diverse stakeholder groups across a broad geographical spread.
Shaughn has successfully led regional teams through significant program reforms, Machinery of Government changes and audits, and was pivotal in the successful transition of the Department of Communities and Disability Services to the NDIS in the North Coast Region, Queensland.
